Here are some pieces done with the 4th axis in development: These came out of the machine just like this, no sanding was done to them.. These are smooth and ready for finish.. The material is cherrywood. Thanks, Ron

I just design and build the machinery (alot), these parts were done by a customer at another location and they sent me the pics. I've been so buried in machine building and upgrading, I haven't payed a whole lot of attention to much else. Bobcad would do this too. Draw the celtic shape, extrude it, radius it, etc., in the X and Y plane, Y height being the same dim as that of the circumference. Then in the post processor do a Y to A conversion when the code in generated. All in all, very nice work. Thanks, Ron
