Has anybody tried the DeskProto program for setting up G-codes? I have a trial program that lets me use (for 30 days) and save tool paths so have been trying this out to see what it will do. You can load 3D, 2D and bitmaps. www.deskproto.com/Im new to this cnc work so would appreciate any comments and comparisons with other programs like cut 2D or v-carve pro

I too would like to know some particulars regarding this software and how it works with a Romaxx. I have the software, but am waiting on my machine. The manual is well written and the software quite powerful as far as I can tell. Hope someone comments on your post with first hand knowledge.

So far I have been using this software exclusivly for 3D and bitmap work and like it a lot. Have been playing around with the resolutions and you can get it to carve a very smooth carving. I have been using a very small taper ball end tool. It's a very versatile program as far a I can tell but have only been using it a short time. ;D

Can you let us know what settings you are using for using your Romaxx with DeskProto? What did you put in for machine and postprocessor?
