I have had my WD-1 for about a year now, and it is running like a charm. I am going to be cutting out a dollhouse for my grand kids and was wondering if anyone has ever mounted a WidgetWorks pressure foot clamping bracket to their WD-1 machine?

Greetings, I have been watching the forum, and so now I would like to share my results of addressing this issue. I wanted to build a doll house for my granddaughters, and I found the web site, makeCNC. I ordered the angel fish pattern for a trial cut. The machine did a great job. If you checkout the web site and look at their angel fish you see they have a gap between the top and bottom fin. My cutout with the WD-1 had no gaps. It fit perfectly. Thanks Ron. For this cutout I was using 1/8 Baltic Birch plywood with a 1/16” diameter router bit. If a person made the cut out with a larger diameter bit and thicker plywood, I do not think he would have the problem I had because the router bit would have a longer length. By using the 1/16” router bit I did not have enough travel in the “Z” direction to make the cut. I had a little clearance, but it was too close for me. I purchased the, ER Collet Adapter, from PreciseBits, and I now have enough travel to make the cut. I also had to make a device to support my “Pressure Foot Mounting Bracket”. Just wanted to share my experience and solution.
