I purchased a HS1 in July and installed it in my garage. Because of the heat (Charleston SC) I didn't get a chance to operate it until Sept. I was able to drill a new spoilboard and seemed to operate fine. Now, whenever I load a g-file the z axis groans and either moves extremely slowly or not at all. But only on the first z-axis command. If I can get past that it seems to operate normally. I wrote Ron and he felt it might be the z axis dip switch settings. Every time I start to run a g file I get the abnormal condition alert that IJ mode is set to incremental so I change it to absolute and try to save it but the next time it just reverts back to abnormal condition again. It jogs in all axes fine and the dip switch settings were correct. I advised Ron of this but never heard back. Any suggestions? Thanks Pat

I recall replying to your initial email but never heard back or second email/voicemail was never received?
Not saving settings on shut down is a Mach3 setting. Go in to Config/General Config and make sure all DRO properties are set to persistent. Also, the abnormal condition flashing yellow LED when incremental arcs are used with absolute distance is something in Mach3 that really serves no purpose.
Also, make sure to shut Mach3 down properly. When it asks to save settings at shut down make sure to answer "yes"
Thanks, Ron
