Hey, How do you guys feel about Vectric V-carve software. I'm considering becoming a dealer for them. I should be able to get a good price for everyone by buying seats in quantity. I downloaded the demo for V-carve Pro and it is intuitive and forward-looking. A smart program for the price. Download the demo and let me know what you think. Thanks, Ron www.romaxxcnc.com

I like the looks of this software. ;D It seems very user-friendly, and does not cost an arm and a leg. I think this would be a great product for you to be a distributer of.

Upon further review.
I downloaded Vcarve pro last night and played with it for several hours. I was surprised....I had some trouble with some things I thought would have been simple. I'm going to spend the weekend working on it and will provide specifics of pros and cons that I see.

Hi Tim,
Those were my first impressions as well. After a few hours of familiarizing myself and few clicks around the help files, it's a pretty neat little program. I use Bobcad20 for most everything. It's a good low-end software. It pales in comparison with the more mainstream softwares like Delcam and Catia. In 3D, Bobcad is pretty basic. Like how V-carve runs a variable Z depth on line width, Bobcad will not do that. The drawing would have to show the varying Z depth for Bobcad to respect it. It would simply treat it as a pocket of all one depth.
All in all I'm quite impressed with V-carve. It's artsy ware for sign folks from what I can see. Although, I haven't actually tried to brings any 3D part files in to see what it can really do. It may hold more surprises, as it does think for itself a bit. Something absent in most lower end softwares in this price range.
Thanks, Ron

Hi Guys,
We have three interested in V-carve Pro. I'll wait until this Wednesday 9-06 and see how many there are and give them a ring and see what we can do. I'm just doing a group purchase. So whatever I get them for, you get them for. Just cover the cost of postage etc.
I think Taz was interested too? Nick, are you interested in a seat?
Let me know, Ron
