I started looking into spindles and I don't think that the $2000 investment is worth it right now. I have and HS-1 Does anyone have any recommendations for routers? I am currently using a bosch colt (3 of them actually, 1 in the machine, 1 for back-up and one in the shop) they have each been in service for more than a year, and are just not worth repairing anymore (warranty expired). I usually run the router 4-6 hours per day, and need something that will hold up to that kind of use. Thanks in advance for the input.

A dandy VFD is the GS1 or GS2 (1hp or 2hp) from Automation Direct. I've used them on large machine retrofits and they are tough as nails and fully featured. One would probably fit inside a WD-1 with some special mounting. One would still need a spindle speed board that would connect to our interface. All available and do-able though.
