I've had my HS for 4 years now and it's still going. I make this thing work about 4-5 days a week!

That is really awesome. Have you ever had to do any sort of maintenance work on it?

My WD-1 is about 5 years old now and running great. I replaced ( and later repaired ) a Gecko drive module after a major crash two years ago and have replaced the carriage bearings once. I remove and clean out the bearings about once every 2-3 months. The last major overhaul ( 4 hours ) I removed and cleaned the ball screws and associated bearings.
Ron is really great about shipping replacement parts and after sale support.

So now its been 7 years. I've had many modifications over the years. Had Ron recut the rails a few times, new wheels, improved bearings. The good news is that it is all things you can find replacements for, make yourself with proper equipment, or have made for you at reasonable cost.

Nick lives close to us and we worked with him making our machines more robust and reliable as he uses his machines (HS and WD) almost daily. Some revisions were made over time and are now incorporated in to all of our new machines.
Thanks, Ron
