I am very close to purchasing a CNC machine and want to ensure I make an informed purchase. There isn't a lot of information out there comparing the various machines in the price range of the WD-1 and was hoping to hear from existing owners. From my research and for the price, the WD-1 seems like the ideal machine. I am going to be using the machine to assist in building modern furniture. I will mostly be cutting wood and aluminum. Can owners chime in as to why they bought the WD-1 over the competition?

I purchased WD1 after comparing. Main reason was service and support. The machine is by far the best, for size and not only is it a good price, you are getting a lot better quality. and the service can't be beat. I use mine almost daily, no problems. lee

I'm enjoying my WD-1 after a couple of speed bumps that Ron took care of. The 'working' area is about 21" x 30"... if you are making furniture parts tha would be my biggest concern. It's a great machine!

I love my WD-1.. So far, I have run it for roughly 1300 hours ( about 2.5 miles of cutting per axis according to the log ) and it has been rock solid the whole time. As far as service and support, Ron is the best in the business.

Right there with everyone else who responded plus the fact that there is some great help available on this forum. If you have never used a CNC router before, there is a pretty steep learning curve. Without the help of this forum it would have been a real challenge.

Hello, I'm new to this forum and would like to know; is anyone using a 4th axis (rotary indexer) on the wd-1 machine to cut tight tolerance small inlay pockets and parts? For example, on high-end custom pool cues?
