I'm starting an acrylic fabrication shop out of my home to supplment my income. One of the applications that I have is the need to cut fish mouth tubing ends in 2 inch ID acrylic tubing. I'm looking at another CNC router which I'll eventually invest in which is made by Torchmate that has an optional tubing cutter. This device holds tubing and rotates it so it can be cut by the router.
If I go with the Romaxx as my first machine will I be able to cut fish mouths in acrylic tubing without the need for some kind of custom accessary that holds and rotates the tubing?
And if so, how would this be down?

Hello,
That can be done with a simple fixture. And a Gcode path that makes the X Y and Z move simultaneously to cut the fishmouth. Common machining technique.
Basically just a square block with a 2" hole thru. And a provision to clamp the block to the tube, i.e. set screw etc. Cut one side, flip and cut the other. Very easy to do. No 4th axis required.
Thanks, Ron
