I dont know if I need one, I have a gecko g540, 425's on a mill, Mach 3,and a Romax encoder board, I am having some problems after things warm up with trips due to the encoders. I figured Id put heat sinks and a fan on the g540.Then I figured I might as well put heat sinks and a fan on the encoder board too.Any one have any idias on how to mount a heat sink on the encoder board without shorting it out? some kind of rubber between the bottom and the plate on the heat sink ? BTW , I was running a minimum 20 vdc to the g540,I guess it will take 50vdc. I picked up a TDK varible vdc 10 amp power supply upt to 48VDC. That might help but I was told with the amp draws from the 425's that I should put a heat sink on the g540's especially if I up the voltage and amps. Im looking into the resisters on the g540's for that motor, volts and amps, any insight would help please,Thanks,Cnccuz
