Hello,
I am currently using a PC890 as a spindle mounted in the Porter Cable double ring spindle bracket, but have reached the point where I need to replace the router. Was thinking of switching to a different router--perhaps a Hitachi km12 or Bosch 1600. Will the 3.5" PC bracket work with any 3.5" router, or do I need to get a specifically matched bracket? BTW, am switching routers at the recommendation of Precise Bits--I use their collets to reduce TIR and apparently new PC890 routers are no longer compatible due to changes (or just lower manufacturing tolerances) in the router's tapered bore.
Thanks, Keith

Hi Keith,
The Hitachi's like the M12VC use a 3.25" mount. Don't know about the Bosch 1600, but I seem to recall it is 3.5, I'm not sure about, we sell very few of those. The Dewalt is 618 is 3.5"
Thanks, Ron
