Greetings! I have had my machine for a few years, but only now have started to use it. Everything works well except the machine just stops somewhere along mid cut. It keeps doing it, at different places, nothing seems out of the ordinary on the machine or the software, it is a licensed copy of mach3, etc. Last night it did it, I just shut everything down, tried again today, 30 minutes in, the machine shuts down. Same thing. The machine just stops, does not respond to Mach 3... If I click completely out of Mach3, start it up again, then pull the e stop, the machine seems to be on again and respond. Now I have to figure out how to start where it stops all the time! Must be some communication error or something?

I have a WD-1 and had the same issues. I am now using Windows 7 with the UC100 USB to parallel converter. So far I have had no issues.

Mach3 locking up shows its a PC issue. Try a different PC. The UC100 can help some with poor system timing, but it's not a fixall. If the CPU is stalling for long periods, the UC100 will have little effect.
