Machine is a Romaxx WD-1. Trying to cut 1/4" aluminum. Getting lot of chatter when the cutter travels from left to right. Cutting each pass at a depth of .028 and reducing the feed rate I was able to complete the cut (took awhile) but still had some chatter. Assuming it is a rigidity problem? Is there a way I can adjust the machine to cut faster and eliminate the chatter?

First off, make sure the wheels are not out of adjustment, everything is contacting the rails. If this is an older machine it probably only has one wishbone stabilizer, the new machines have two, one on top and one on bottom, this greatly increases the rigidity of the Z axis.

Can you tell me more about the 2nd wishbone? Its effect and if it can be retro-fit?
