I have had my wd1 here in Florida for about 6 years. In the humidity here, the case started to rust since it is not painted. I cleaned it up and coated it with auto wax and left it on. Also my bearings all appeared to not have any lube in them. I took each one, removed the dust seal and packed them with grease. Reinstalled the seals. Also remove the drawer and vacum it out once in a while. Overall it seems a good machine.

yes they are easy to remove. Just use a small knife or screwdriver slipped in the inner diameter of the seal and they will pop out. Clean the bearing and pack with good grease and you can pp the seals back in. I didnt look to see what brand they are. Ron @ Romax will sell new bearings if any are shot.
